The American Boxer Club board has voted unanimously to have a DNA Bank and Database.
Samples and data submitted to the ABC Boxer DNA Bank and Database become the property of the American Boxer Club/CHIC . CHIC has offered to make the initial collection free at the 2006 ABC National in May. Fees for submission and storage of samples are $10 for cheek swab and $25 for blood after ABC
COLLECTION AT ABC WILL TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY MAY 8TH THROUGH WEDNESDAY MAY 10TH.
DNA samples will be stored with CHIC. Blood samples are preferred because it stores longer. Check swabs are known to last 8-10 years so far. Semen and tissue can be submitted also (puppy tails are ideal). Contact CHIC for this. Contact information is on the website listed below.
